The most glamorous of careers often hide many a sad story beneath. Lolo Jones, athlete of the USA and World the hurdle championships, achieved this status after many years of dedication and patience. Jones was born into a single mother with five children in poverty and hardship when she was a kid, endured an extremely challenging childhood. Her mother had been constantly shifting and even was a resident within the basement. Jones' nomadic lifestyle forced her to change school every year up to high school. Jones was separated from her family at Theodore Roosevelt to pursue track and field events. Jones was part of different families during high school to be able to concentrate on her academics. Jones was one of the top hurdlers when she first entered college. Jones won the 100-meter challenge during the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. She also participated in the runner up team for 100-meters relay. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles competition in 2003 and in 2004. Jones began her track and field career in the year 2005, when she completed her studies at the university. That following year, she took home the Torino Memorial event, and in the year 2206 she took home the Ostrava track race as in addition to the Heusden event for track.

The family was raised and born from Cape Town South Africa Brandt relocated with her family Auckland New Zealand in her in her late teens. Brandt was discovered locally by casting directors, and was offered the role of Naevia, in the Starz sensation Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In the course of her partnership alongside Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi's producers, she became an international star. She starred in the hit Netflix show Lucifer that ran for a six year run playing the fan most loved Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Forbes declared Lucifer the show with the highest amount of binge-watching in 2021. Brandt's next appearance is in the six-episode Walking Dead spin-off in 2024 with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. In the summer of 2023's Netflix adult animated series Captain Fall, Brandt stars alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni. Lesley-Ann Brandt is a South African actress, born in Cape Town, South Africa on the 2nd December 1981. She is a renowned New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved from the United States to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. In Auckland, Brandt began as a salesperson and then was promoted into the role of an IT consultant. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. She graduated with a major in acting in the year 2008. Then in 2009, she started studying in Meisner methods of study. The first time she was seen on screen in New Zealand was as a TV actor on Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on New Zealand's TV series Shortland Street in the role of a support actor. In the sequel to this sci-fi series This Is Not My Life she played the town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teen hostage, and was later featured in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
